School Advisory Council On-Line Meeting

An SAC (School Advisory Council) is a voluntary organization that serves as an advisory body to the principal and AVRCE (Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education) on a range of issues related to the school and school system, such as school practices, communication and school improvement.  An SAC participates in the school’s on-going efforts to continuously improve student achievement and performance.  An SAC is extremely important as it brings the voice of the community inside the school.

Three Mile Plains School initiated an SAC last year, however it was cut short due to Covid-19.  This year, we want to re-establish the SAC and meetings may be held virtually.  The SAC is made up of the following positions:

2 parents/guardians

1 teacher

1 member of the school support staff

2 community members (1 of African decent)

We have 2 positions that need to be filled.  One position is a community member and one position is a parent.  If you are interested in one of these 2 positions, please contact Mr. Campbell.  The next virtual meeting will be held on February 10th at 7:00 p.m.  Please contact the school to receive a link for the meeting.
